Paste your text and click "UPPERCASE" or "lowercase": the change is instant. For example, "the quick brown fox" becomes "THE QUICK BROWN FOX" in uppercase and "The Quick Brown Fox" in Title Case. In Microsoft Word, Shift + F3 cycles through these cases.

About the Case Converter
What is it?
This tool changes the case of a text in one click: ALL CAPS, all lowercase, sentence case, Title Case, alternating letters or inverted case. It also counts characters and words.
Why use it?
Text typed with Caps Lock on, headings that need to match, a list of names in capitals to tidy up: retyping everything is slow and error-prone. The converter does it instantly and keeps accented letters correct.
How does it work?
The conversion uses the Unicode case rules of your language, so accents and foreign letters are handled. Sentence case lowers everything, then capitalises the first letter after a full stop, an exclamation mark, a question mark or a line break. Title Case capitalises the first letter of every word. Your text is never sent to a server.
Usage tips
- After sentence case, remember to restore capitals on names and places
- Style guides differ on Title Case: some keep short words like "and" or "of" in lowercase
- Avoid long passages in capitals: they are harder to read and feel like shouting
- Alternating case is mostly used for memes and sarcastic messages
- Use the word counter if you also need reading time and sentence counts
