1. Enter an amount: hourly rate, monthly, annual, daily or weekly pay
2. Choose the period that amount refers to
3. Adjust the hours per week (40 by default) and the working days
4. Read the equivalent for every period and share the calculation if needed

Quick answer

How do you convert an hourly rate to a monthly salary?

Multiply the hourly rate by the monthly hours, which is hours per week × 52 ÷ 12. For a 40-hour week, that is 173.33 hours a month. Example: €15 an hour × 173.33 hours = €2,600 a month, or €31,200 a year.

€10€1,733.33€20,800
€12€2,080€24,960
€15€2,600€31,200

About the Hourly to Salary

What is it?

The hourly to salary calculator converts pay from one period to another: hourly rate, daily, weekly, monthly or annual pay. It takes your hours per week and working days into account.

Why use it?

Job ads, freelance gigs and part-time contracts don't all quote pay the same way. Bringing everything back to one hourly rate or one monthly salary lets you compare offers and check a payslip.

How does it work?

The monthly salary is spread over the year: hourly rate × hours per week × 52 ÷ 12. For 40 hours, that is 173.33 hours a month. Daily pay = hourly rate × (hours per week ÷ working days). Annual pay = hourly rate × hours per week × 52.

Usage tips

  • A 40-hour week averages 173.33 hours a month, not 160
  • Paid overtime at a higher rate is not included: add it separately
  • As a freelancer, compare your hourly rate with an employee's total cost, not their net pay
  • Unpaid holidays reduce the weeks worked: lower the weekly hours to reflect them
  • The result stays gross if you enter a gross amount, and net if you enter a net amount
